Introducing the Worn & Wound x BOLDR Conquer LE — Built for the Fighter Project, In Support of RTCC 2025

It started with an email.

Back in late 2024, Blake Malin, co-founder of Worn & Wound, reached out after Windup NYC. We’d just wrapped a great show, and he followed up with a proposal that caught my attention: “I’m working on a charitable project for the 2025 Ride to Conquer Cancer,” he said. “Would BOLDR be interested in getting involved?”

He told me about Matt Smith-Johnson — a watch designer, passionate cyclist, and longtime friend of Worn & Wound — who had been riding in the Ride to Conquer Cancer for nearly a decade. The ride spans over 200km in two days and raises millions each year for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top cancer research hospitals in the world.

Blake and Matt were assembling a team to take part in the 2025 ride and looking for partners to support the cause. But I didn’t just want to make a donation. I wanted to build something meaningful.

The Watch We Made Together

We teamed up with Matt to create a special edition timepiece, Worn & Wound x BOLDR Conquer LE — a first-time collab between Matt and BOLDR — and a continuation of our existing mission: The Fighter Project.

Priced at US$399, each watch sends US$80 directly to the RTCC fundraiser. We also partnered with StrapHabit, another RTCC supporter, to include a second sailcloth strap with every watch.

It’s a simple formula: buy the watch, support the cause, join the fight.

Why It Matters to Us

If you’ve followed BOLDR for a while, you’ll remember the Pink Fighter Project, which we launched in 2021. That initiative was deeply personal — cancer had directly impacted my family, and we wanted to create something that gave back. That project became our way of raising awareness, sharing stories, and giving part of every sale to cancer-related charities.

Now, in 2025, we’re evolving.

The Pink Fighter Project becomes simply The Fighter Project — because cancer isn’t just one color, and neither is the strength it takes to fight it. This is for all fighters — patients, caregivers, loved ones, and the folks like Matt who pedal hundreds of kilometers year after year to raise funds and hope.

From Leon, BOLDR Founder

“When Blake approached me with the idea, it felt like a full-circle moment. We’d been quietly fighting the same fight, just in different ways — and this was a chance to team up. Working with Matt and Worn & Wound has been an incredible experience, and it’s only the beginning of what The Fighter Project can be.”

This isn’t just a watch collab — it’s a show of solidarity.

It’s one small way to support a much bigger mission.

And we hope you’ll be part of it.
