A New Collection To Raise Cancer Awareness - The Pink Fighter Project 2022
BOLDR Supply Company initiated The Pink Fighter Project (PFP) in 2021 to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with cancer victims and their loved ones. This year, the PFP aims to channel proceeds of a brand new BOLDR Voyage model created specially for the campaign. The full Voyage collection will be released separately at a later time, however its first ever iteration in this campaign will see 20% of sales donated to cancer-related charities.
SINGAPORE: In October 2021, BOLDR created a special collection to help raise funds for charities related to overcoming cancer. Founder Leon Leong initiated the Pink Fighter Project with the support of retail partners Windup Watch Shop (Brooklyn, NY), Seriouswatches (Netherlands), Timezone (Vietnam), and FiveFortyFive (New Zealand), Chronofactum (Germany)
This year, the campaign timepiece is from the all-new BOLDR Voyage collection, a refreshed edition of an older collection called BOLDR Voyager. The PFP Voyage is a robust 40mm chronograph with both tachymeter and telemeter functions on its cool grey dial. Inspired by the popular pink ribbon, the dial has a warm pink sub-dial, pink-tipped seconds hand, and a pink band on its crown.
Powered by a Seiko Instruments Inc. VK64 movement, its full stainless steel case and bracelet offer up a bold, steely edifice and the durability to withstand tough environments. The tachymeter is laid out in ‘snail dial’ fashion, encircling the dial center and read consecutively from the outer to inner rings. The telemeter scale sits at the dial perimeter and can be used to measure distance to a visible & audible event (such as thunderstorms).
With this release, BOLDR hopes to sound the alarm for prevention by early detection. “Early detection is crucial for giving individuals a fighting chance. Open conversations create an inclusive environment so that victims do not face an isolated battle, and are in a much more informed position to heal." says Leon.
