Mount Matterhorn: One of the most recognizable mountains in the world, the image of the Matterhorn first appeared on Toblerone bars in 1960 - a fact that carries personal significance with our team as Toblerone happens to be our favourite chocolate. Standing at 14,692 ft (4,478 metres) in the Swiss/Italian Alps range, the four sides of its pyramid-shaped peak are interestingly aligned with north, south, east and west. Beautiful yet unforgiving, It holds a dark reputation as one of the world's most challenging mountains to climb.

The watch is outstanding. After an initial period switching from smart & digital watches, I genuinely feel this watch has grown on me. I had done some extensive reviewing of all watches similar to this one, and initially I was going to purchase the Sinai version. I still feel the orange dial would be great, however the Matternhorn blends in extremely well while I'm at work - from biz casual to formal dress suit - and it is inconspicuos going about regular day stuff, such as playing with my kids, et cetera. If you are looking for one watch to cover a tonne of bases, this line up definitely does not disappoint. The actual watch aside, the shipping was fast but customs did add approximately $100 to the overall cost of the watch. It is still worth it with the additional cost, but the size of the surprise is a bit of a sting. If I were to critique anything, the default watch band could cause sweat buildup and it is a little on the stiff/unrelenting side until you break it in. Give the band two weeks or factor in getting a NATO band into your purchase cost.
Great fit and finish. However, your promo photos make it seem like the numerals and indices are much lighter than they actually are. Had I known, I would have purchased a different expedition.
Ordering was simple and shipping was really quick. I did not expect this watch to be as comfortable as it is on my 7 inch wrist. The stock rubber strap is stiff, but if you replace it with a Bonetto Cinturini 270 (or any other model that suits you), you will never want to take this watch off. I have been timing this for the last month and my Matterhorn is running at +3.3 spd. That is really good for a non COSC automatic. I was afraid the blacked out version would be hard to read, but the lume works really well so night reading is decent. Seeing the time gets a little dicey during the in between times when it is not dark, but the sun is down. I bought this for daytime casual wear, hikes and bike rides so it does everything I need. I have other watches for the other times. I would highly recommend this company and their watches. I have tried a lot of microbrand watch companies and this watch just feels extremely well put together. It has the feel in your hand of an established watch company. I have a couple modern Omegas and those watches feel like you will never have a problem (they've worked out all the kinks already). This watch feels like that. Amazing for the price point.
Pros: everything; angles, coatings, manufacturing, quality, design, and that blue AR. Cons: version three; lugs shall angle down and strap will be silicon
