As soon as I saw this watch on preorder I had to add one to the collection. The case shape, titanium material, sapphire crystal, orange accents with a green dial and a reliable Seiko movement. This was going to be my new companion for adventures like camping and hiking. As soon as I received it however I knew that the nato strap had to go. It is the thickest, stiffest strap that I have ever put on. Even after 3 weeks of daily wear and a couple of cycles through the washing machine, I still found it incredibly uncomfortable. No problem, just switch straps.... the beautiful titanium case, now makes switching natos difficult. Natos, in particular, have a lot a hardware that is seen, and I found that all of my natos with either polished or brushed hardware looked out of place. A two piece strap is the option that I found to work the best, as it make the watch sit lower on the wrist, and the buckle under the wrist is not noticeable. However you loose security that a nato strap provides. My second issue is the hidden date wheel. I love the look of the the no date, as I like the balanced look and no date for its intended use is just fine with me. However the selected movement has the date complication, its just covered up. It doesn't effect anything really, but its there and doesn't have to be. I actually really like this watch, and look forward to owning it for years to come. The faults that I have with my watch are very minor and at the preorder price I am very happy with the watch, but I think that if I had of paid the full price, I would be a little disappointed.
Perfect service from Boldr, it couldn’t have been better. The first watch I bought from them. Regarding the watch: cool (reminds me of 61GS cases from Grand Seiko) light (titanium) case. Could be better: 1) a poor and stiff nato is not great. 2) the movement used has a data function but the dial doesn’t show the date. Hence a shadow date. Not so great either
The watch is light as a feather, the dial uncluttered. The hands are well readable both in daylite and at night. The no-date is a big plus. I added the (Expedition) green rubber strap and now the watch looks absotively great. Go for the watch while it still is availabe, nothing beats the feel of Titanium when temps go way south.
