Raising Awareness In Support Of Cancer Victims & Their Families - The Pink Fighter Project By BOLDR

BOLDR Supply Company is starting an initiative to raise awareness and contribute funds towards fighting cancer. The Pink Fighter Project (PFP) is inspired by real life experiences of members of the company who have encountered the detrimental effects of cancer on victims & loved ones. PFP is set to kick off in October 2021 with two brand new BOLDR Venture models created specially for the campaign, with 20% of sales geared towards funding cancer-related charities.

SINGAPORE: On the heels of raising funds for Covid-19 relief organizations via the Venture Field Medic, BOLDR Supply Company founder Leon Leong decided to channel company resources to battle one of the most difficult challenges faced by humans - cancer. The sheer heartbreak, confusion, grief, and irreparable damage caused by cancer are not often fought alone, but together with loved ones who watch helplessly from the sidelines.

Being a company that values giving back to society, BOLDR is eager to play its part in supporting on-going cancer research. Leon’s family were personally affected by the disease as it plagued his mother’s health for many years. “When someone you love dearly is fighting cancer, it is equally devastating regardless of whether they fight bravely or crippled with fear. It pained me to see her facing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other debilitating forms of treatment because of its devastating effects physically and mentally,” said Leon.

Raising awareness also helps sound the alarm for prevention by early detection. “If we have the capability to raise awareness and contribute towards finding a cure, we consider it our responsibility to do so,” says Leon. “Everyone has to face the fear of death, but we don't have to do it alone. We should be talking about cancer and death and many other human challenges a lot more, because we are all in the fight together. PFP is BOLDR’s way of contributing to the fight.”

The project is selling two special versions of BOLDR Venture models, namely the PFP Field Medic and PFP Venture Earth. BOLDR will manufacture 100 pieces of each model and donate 25% of sales to cancer-related charities. The watches are available for purchase only on BOLDR’s website and partner stockists beginning 1st October until sold out.

BOLDR wishes to thank its supporting partners in this venture: Windup Watch Shop from Brooklyn, NY, Seriouswatches of Netherlands, Timezone from Vietnam, Link & Tag from Taiwan, and FiveFortyFive from New Zealand.
